Theater im Pumpenhaus

(Sources of information: Wikipedia, website of the theater [profile]) (Sources in German)

The "Theater im Pumpenhaus" was founded in 1985 and is one of the first independent theaters in Germany. The theater bears its name because its home is a former wastewater pumping station. It offers a platform for professional free productions beyond classical theater formats with the use of performance, visual arts, new media, contemporary dance and street dance. Each year, it offers you around 200 events, many of which are also developed in the theater's rehearsal rooms. This makes it one of the largest production centers for independent theater in North Rhine-Westphalia today.

In addition to productions, the Theater im Pumpenhaus also works as a service provider for professional theater labels and, in this capacity, initiates and organizes national and international projects. Thus, there are international guest performances, international dance theater and the best productions of Münster's theater labels in rotation. As a result, the production and presentation of plays are both local and regional as well as national and international.

Further information such as the program can be found on the theater's website (website only available in German).
