"Münster Mittendrin" is the city festival in the entire city center of Münster, which offers you music acts, hands-on activities and much more on a weekend once a year. It is organized by an association of Münster companies.

Musically, you can look forward to a lot, because national and international top acts play on the stage at the cathedral square. In past years, these included Lost Frequencies, H-Blockx, Felix Jaehn, Fünf Sterne Deluxe or Querbeat, to name just a few names. Top act "regular" since 2017 is the pop singer Roland Kaiser. Ticket purchase is required for these concerts on the cathedral square, advance sales are available at various locations in the city and online.

At several stations in the city center, there are other stages for local and national bands, musicians who can apply to perform. The genre span ranges from rock and party music to electronic beats and alternative directions, there is something for every musical taste. Visiting these stages is free of charge.

There are also numerous participatory activities for young and old. The best-known event is the "Voice of Münsterland Contest", in which singing talents can show what they are made of. From all the applicants, a few candidates are selected for the semi-finals on Saturday. The audience will then decide on the two finalists, who will perform in front of thousands of spectators on Sunday on the top act stage on the cathedral square. The winner will receive material prizes, fame and honor, press and of course an unforgettable performance in front of a huge audience.

In addition to "Voice of Münsterland," you and your family can take part in city tours and a city rally. Your children can engrave key chains themselves, attend magic shows, paint and do make-up or take part in a selfie contest.

If you get hungry and thirsty, of course, there is also catering: the numerous restaurants in the city are open. Furthermore, there are beer and wine stands and food trucks offering kebabs, burgers, falafel and also vegan delicacies.

The forerunner of "Münster Mittendrin" was the Eurocityfest, which also offered three days of live music acts on several stages in the city center from 2000 to 2011. However, due to financing issues, the festival was discontinued for the time being after 2011. It was then continued from 2015 under the current name "Münster Mittendrin".
